  • Because Geralt gets on with all kinds of women in his home series and Soulcalibur is a game full of female Fanservice, jokes about Geralt banging the female cast were inevitable and have been prominent since Day 1. Ivy in particular is a popular choice, for obvious reasons, and it sure didn't take long for the fan art to come out in droves.
  • Alternatively, because the game is Japanese, some people have joked that Geralt is "the anime slayer" and is "fighting anime" due to every character being slightly anime in a way, especially Grøh. In fact, one video has a lot of comments on the matter. Also, you can make anime characters in the character creation, so Geralt definitely is fighting anime in this game.

• Hwang as Assassin confirmed! ^Explanation A prevalent fan theory dating back to Soulcalibur II is that Assassin was Hwang in a disguise due to the Assassin character having Hwang's moveset. In the final chapters of Seong Mi-na's Soul Chronicle, Hwang shows up in a disguise nearly identical to Assassin's appearance, leading to jokes that the theory had been confirmed.
• Create-A-Soul has given the game a fair share of attention:
• The fact that Ivy was cast as the rival fighter in 2B's character reveal trailer was not lost on fans. People were quick to note the duel as the showdown of "Tits vs. Ass", while others have opted to state that said argument was much older than everyone thought.
• Yoshi is the new guest character! ^Explanation Because of his name (and his longstanding Fan Nickname being Yoshi), it's not uncommon to see Yoshimitsu's fighting style being used on a CAS Yoshi. Even funnier, some have managed to do the reverse by using custom character parts to make Yoshi's head and place it on Yoshimitsu.
• Flapjacking. ^Explanation This is a term used when a Ring Out occurs after the enemy is thrown out after a lengthy combo. Siegfried and Nightmare were the original flapjackers (until the nerf, but even that was eventually undone), but other styles, like Sophitia, Grøh, Tira, and Talim, have moves that can be classed as flapjack moves, and are usually the reason why characters like Maxi and Taki are considered low-tier Scrappies due to their over-reliance on combos.
• "MUH HAND!" ^Explanation A line commonly spoken by Siegfried whenever he uses a move that puts him into his Dark Legacy state. Because of how often this happens, it quickly went viral.
• "Soon™" ^Explanation In the middle of the wait between DLC info, both Project Soul and Namco as a whole would use the word "Soon" without any further context a few too many times, which caught on with people repeating it for hilarious results, even speculating that there's a new DLC fighter aptly called "SO-ON".
• Due to how hated he is by the fanbase, it's often joked that the reboot and the new timeline were enacted specifically to get away from Patroklos. Going further, fans joke about how the future will be saved by preventing Patroklos from ever existing, including the secret ending where Zasalamel plans to guide humanity to a brighter future after receiving a vision from his future self. That bright future has been equated to Patroklos never happening and V being wiped from existence. Like so. Then, in Cassandra's Soul Chronicle, Cass receives information about the old timeline being considered a Bad Future from her original timeline counterpart and, when asked to name Sophitia's child if it's a boy, chooses Deucalion, basically ensuring that Patroklos will never exist in this new timeline, though it remains unclear if Deucalion will turn out like Patroklos. (Also of note is that Patroklos is the secondborn, meaning that Deucalion would actually be Pyrrha's name.)
• Hwang's new design immediately elicited comparisons with Bloodborne.
• PURIFYING DYSTOPIA!/UTOPIA!/SPARK!/THE END! ^Explanation Hwang's Critical Edge is comparable to that of the Finishing Moves used by the MetsubouJinrai Riders, complete with the superimposed kanji in the move's end sequence.
